Feast Day - August 1st

We are looking forward to the weekend of July 31-August 1st. Join us to celebrate St. Alphonsus' feast day on August 1st. There will be community events immediately following all Masses.

On Saturday, July 31st, 4:15 Mass will be followed by a barbecue hosted by the Knights of Columbus
On Sunday, August 1st, after 9am and 11am morning Masses, the Parish Life committee will provide donuts
On Sunday, August 1st, 5:15 Mass will be followed by cheese and crackers hosted by the Women's Auxiliary

Also mark your calendars for Sunday, August 1st, and participate in the St. Alphonsus Liberty walk. We will celebrate our patron saint, St. AlphonsusLiguori, along with the religious freedom** we enjoy, which allows us to honor him and his feast day together as a parish family! If you'd like, join us immediately following the 9:00 am Mass on August 1st. All ages are welcome!!! You're encouraged to bring your Joyful Noise tambourines, grab a balloon from our stash on hand, bring your decorated (optional – but fun!) bikes, wagons and strollers or put a bow on your dog's collar to join in the fun. Feel free to fall in and walk alongside your fellow parishioners. Immediately following Mass, line up in the circle driveway and get ready to walk/ride the route.

It will begin in the circle driveway, head east on the sidewalk and turn into the parking lot next to Catherine's Care center. From there it will head back to the circle drive and finish where it began. Donuts will be provided by the Parish Life committee so grab a treat while you watch or after you participate!

For more information on the WALK, please contact the Religious Education Office at faithformation@stalphonsusgr.org

**"Religious freedom requires that a society both refrain from preventing people from living out their religion and help to create the conditions for religious expression to flourish... Religious freedom is the cornerstone of a society that promotes human dignity. It is a fundamental human right, for it follows on the duty of all people to seek the truth about God." LET'S MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE UNTO THE LORD!
