An Evening of Penance

Please note: St. Alphonsus Parish will offer Reconciliation on Thursday, March 31, from 5:00-7:00pm

Dear Friends in Christ,

The Lord extends a special invitation to deepen your relationship with Him through the sacrament of penance. We may have pushed aside the habit of going to reconciliation in recent years or we may never have given much thought to regularly celebrating the sacrament. No matter how long it has been or how alienated you may feel, God is present in this graced encounter.

Our parishes provide a special opportunity each Lent to return to the Lord through “The Light is ON for You: An Evening of Penance.” On Thursday, March 31 almost every church in the diocese will be open from 5-8 p.m. with a priest welcoming you to celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation. Allow yourself to be forgiven! Like a loving parent, Christ is leaving a light on for you. Will you accept His invitation?
