Muskegon Mission Trip Reflection
During the week of May 8th, a team of volunteers spent the week serving the community of Muskegon. We had various jobs that included working at the Muskegon Rescue Mission Thrift Store, providing daycare, sorting clothing, serving lunch to guests and numerous other tasks. We also helped some lower-income homeowners that needed a roof repair, gutters, cleaning, painting, installing a door, repairing a wheelchair ramp, hanging items, and disassembling a wheelchair ramp. It was a very busy week and a lot of good work was done!
These mission trips teach us to be flexible, go with the flow, and that it’s not my will, but God’s will that is being done. We always have a plan in place, but find out quickly that God has His own plan for us. He ordered our steps and lined us up with the people we were supposed to help that week. We were able to complete all our jobs and even more than we originally planned! It was a great week of serving, laughing, and fellowship. Thank you to everyone that sacrificed their time to help someone else. This mission would not be possible without all of you.
Lastly, thank you to everyone that supports our fundraisers to help us purchase everything needed for these projects. We are so grateful!
