Fish Fry Planning Meeting/Volunteers
We are only a month away from Fish Fry. We are looking for individuals willing to help in planning this year's event. Please come with your ideas and to possibly help co-chair a subcommittee. We will meet this Tuesday, January 24, at 5:30pm in Room 306 in the Parish Center. If you are interested in helping but are unable to attend the initial meeting contact Sandy at skemp@stalphonsusgr.org.
Not interesting in planning but want to volunteer? We need your help!
WHEN: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays during Lent: February 24-March 31
WHAT: Fish Fry Volunteers
Thursday: Prep work: thawing fish, making sandwiches, filling ketchup bottles, and making coleslaw.
Friday: Greeter, trash removal, serving line, handing out silver ware/condiments, dessert table, fish fryers, kitchen and dining room clean up.
Saturday: Clean the stove top and dispose of grease, wash aprons and dish cloths.
Our Fish Fry Ministry serves close to 5000 meals during Lent. It takes over 75 volunteers a week to make this happen. Please consider getting involved with this great group. I am confident you will enjoy the experience. Please sign up at the link below.
