Fish Fry 2023

Fish Fry 2023 was a huge success! Everyone seemed to enjoy being able to once again have dine in available to them. It is such a great source of community whether it is for those that come to have dinner or for the volunteers that come together to make it possible. I have to say that it has been a very rewarding experience for myself being able to be a part of this long time event. It takes about 70 volunteers a week to make this run smoothly. It is quite impressive to see all of those that have worked the fish fry for many years that have it down pat. It was also so much fun to see new faces as well. I had so many of the volunteers tell me already that they want me to sign them up again for next year. So, yes, I am planning on spearheading the fish fry again for next year. I could not have done this without the expertise of those that have done it year after year. I am thankful for the core group of people that helped me make decisions. Thank you to Jennifer Leonard for co-chairing the event with me. Each week we ranged between 523 and 654 patrons attending, with our average being 601. I am still crunching numbers but it looks like we raised about $20,000 this year. What a great year! Thank you everyone for your support.
