Diocese of Grand Rapids extends cancellation of ALL public Masses

Please note the following information from the Diocese of Grand Rapids regarding the extension of liturgical cancellations through May 28th. The church building remains closed.

Dear Friends in Christ,

Mindful of the current circumstances and to continue our efforts to protect the common good, the Diocese of Grand Rapids has extended its suspension of ALL public Masses and other liturgical and devotional services through May 28, 2020. The dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass remains in place through June 30.

While we are not in the clear yet, we want to begin to consider what reopening our churches for public Masses may look like. The date on which public worship is restored will depend upon developments in public health guidance and our confidence that resuming public Masses will not pose an undue risk. Reopening will proceed carefully and in phases.
