redlogoRedemptorists believe that the saving love of God touches the whole person and calls for the transformation of social justice into the respect for the dignity of all men and women. Thus Redemptorists, around the whole are involved in a wide variety of social problems and justice issues such as: immigation, refugees, homelessnes, poverty, unemployment, worker’s rights, women’s issues, exploitation of child, racism, genocide, indigenous peoples, the environment, war and violence, weapons of war and trafficking of people.

St. Al’s is involved in many social justice issues. It is the home of Catherine’s Health Care which serves 420 patients in the community without health insurance each month. We have our Food and Clothing Store which served 798 individuals food and 194 families clothing last month alone. We are also involved in many outreach like PALS, Habitat for Humanity, and host the Supper Club, in which we partner with several churches of different denominations in the area to provide a free hot meal each Thursday evening to our community. Our newest project will begin with a Mass of Hope on October 29th at 7:00 p.m., followed a series of sessions to assist the unemployed.  A job posting board is now located in the vestibule of the church to advertise job seekers and opportunities.
