1. Parking and Pew for Christmas – Donated by St. Al’s Auction Committee

Tired of the hassle of getting to Christmas Eve Mass early to find a parking spot and seats?  This package will relieve all of that stress.  This package includes reserved parking in the circle drive (an exception to this no parking zone and a full pew for you and your family will make Christmas less hectic!  (Rumor has it there have been gifts waiting in the pew when you arrive.)

2. Fish Fry Season Pass – Donated by St. Al’s Fish Fry Team

The line gets longer every year, but you don’t have to worry.  Your family gets to enter through the “back door”, sit down and be served at our delicious St. Al’s Fish dinner each Friday during Lent.  Your reserved table for up to 8 people awaits.

3. “Men in Black Evening” – Donated by our Redemptorist Priests

Gather your group of 10 and be the first to win this memorable evening with our own Parish Priests at THEIR house.  You will be treated to an enjoyable night of getting to know them better and to be entertained at the rectory!  This one of a kind package includes appetizers, drinks, and dinner.  We know the lucky bidders will enjoy a night that’s sure to be entertaining.

4. Fishing Charter – Donated by Mart and Rita Kuks

Bring your Party of four to Chinook Pier in Grand Haven for a half day of fishing on Lake Michigan.  Always a popular item!

5. Cottage on Black River – Donated by AJ Setter and family

Your cottage awaits…..whether you love trout fishing or just want to get away with your family or friends for a week, this fully remodeled cottage on the Black River in Onaway (near Cheboygan) is for you!  It sleeps 8 people comfortably (and 11 people if you get cozy).  This Northern Michigan retreat is four houses down from Black Lake and 45 minutes south of Mackinac (a nice day trip).  The winning bidder can choose a week during the summer, excluding holidays.  Date to be determined with the cottage owner.  And the owners have generously offered to stock the fridge with beverages!!!!!

What’s a night at the Oscars without a package like this?  Enjoy watching this year’s awards on February 26supth/sup with your new 42” flat screen TV.  You’ll be curled up watching this fabulous view with one of Mary Hormuth’s handmade one of a kind movie-themed quilt while enjoying a bucket of the famous Dorothy and Toto’s delicious popcorn.  A refillable bucket is included that can be filled once a month.

Be the first to own this fine art photograph of the newly visible windows at St. Al’s.  This beautiful one of a kind 16×20 custom framed collage created by award winning photographer Ruth Parbel (who we proudly claim as a fellow parishioner) can be yours if the bidding is right!  “The Spirit of St. Alphonsus” will make a lovely addition to your home or office.  Also included in this package is a piece of the baldichino – now that is a one of a kind memento of our recent renovations!

8. Dinner Party for 10 with Chef Brech of “25 Kitchen” – Donated by Ken and Barb Fortier

Dinner for you and 9 guests at your home or in the 25 Kitchen Restaurant in downtown Grand Rapids.  Enjoy 5 chef created courses (with suggestions of the winning recipient) paired with complimentary wine choices.  What a fun celebration!

Who doesn’t love a night out?  The lucky bidder on this package will be assured that the next twelve months will bring lots of fun evenings out.  Enjoy 12 – $25 dining gift cards to local restaurants as well as 24 movie passes at Celebration Theaters.  Catch all of the Oscar winners as well next year’s Oscars contenders.

We are so excited to offer this unique experience!  Learn the basics of BBQ in this 3 hour party hosted by the Aww Hell Competitive BBQ Team.  Included in this fun package is learning the basics, serving and internship, learning how to judge good BBQ and enjoying the wonderful meal.  This experience is for 10-12 of your choosing if you have the winning bid! 11. Experience the WICKED side of things! - Donated by St. Alphonsus Auction Benefactors

This is no Dorothy and Toto show… it is the precursor to it all!  If you have never experienced the Broadway show WICKED, everyone must at least once! Although for many, just once is not enough!  This package includes 4 tickets to your choice of performances between June 27-July 8 at the Wharton Center in East Lansing, a gas card for your travels, and a WICKED themed basket.  Bid high so you don’t miss out on this incredible experience!

12. 6 hours in Recording Studio – Donated by Bob and Joan Schrum

Are you or one of your kids a budding singer/songwriter, pop star or the next Jimi Hendrix?  Treat yourself to a day in a real recording studio.  Bob Schrum of Ro-Jo Digital Media Productions will guide you through the basics of recording and mixing on professional recording equipment and you’ll be able to record your own CD.  You can record your original or cover tunes solo or with your band.  Don’t have a band to back you up?  Don’t worry, you can record your favorite hit a’capella or with a karaoke track.  The recording will take place in the same studio where the St. Al’s Music ministry’s best-selling CD’s were produced!  Included is 6 hours of actual recording plus 6 hours of mixing and mastering afterward by an experienced audio engineer, resulting in a professionally produced CD.  ROCK ON!

13. Mass on the Beach with Sunset (Mother Nature co-operating of course).  Picnic provided - Donated by Fr. Pat Grile

We welcome back this wonderful addition to our Live Auction line up.  Back in the beginning days of Auction this was a VERY popular item.  Our own resident expert on the best Lake Michigan beaches and sunsets will lead “a group” on a pilgrimage.  Included with this package will be a picnic dinner.  We are grateful to Fr. Pat Grile for offering this wonderful summer tour again!

14. 10 tickets to Civic Theater’s production of “Bye, Bye Birdie” (Feb 24-March 18supth/sup) or “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” (June 1-17supth/sup).  Also included is Dinner at Papa Vino’s – Donated by Don and Carole Nugent, Tom and Jodi Deschaine and Doug Deschaine

15.  The Nutcracker Ballet – Donated by John and Lisa Frey and Dave and Angie Mitchell

The Nutcracker Ballet is a annual tradition for many… this package will help you get your plans in order early this year!  The winning bidder of this package will receive two tickets to your choice of the Nutcracker performances at DeVos Performance Hall this November/December.  The deal is sweetened with a $100 gift certificate to the Amway Grand Hotel and can be used toward lodging or any restaurant inside the Amway.  A half hour horse drawn carriage ride through downtown GR will round out this experience.
